Specific Duties:
• Oversee, take corrective action and maintain overall accuracy and reliability of the Military Personnel Data System (MILPDS);
• Design, encode and execute custom database retrievals using Oracle Discoverer and Microsoft Access;
• Retrieve, produce, and distribute Distributed Enterprise Print Controller products;
• Maintain connectivity, monitor security and perform applications problem solving services for MILPDS;
• Ensure corrective action is initiated for overdue and rejected transaction register items;
• Resolve all rejected Defense Joint Military Pay Systems (DJMPS) transactions;
• Install client software on authorized users’ computers;
• Validate and process special or one-time customer requested queries within 2 workdays of receipt;
• Execute and distribute scheduled automated products;
• Build and maintain local database tables;
• Modify, create and maintain web pages with information requested by customer;
• Develop and conduct training on MILPDS;
• Provide information and technical assistance on overall use of computer systems;
• Assist in developing future needs/requirements

Required Skills:
• Expertise in use of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Microsoft ACCESS
• Expertise in extracting data from one Microsoft Office application and transferring to another application
• Ability to function in high activity environment
• Knowledge of military awards and decorations processes/procedures
• Successful in multi-tasking
